Classics on the Med

Balearic Islands

Description

Before the end of the summer, the classics yachts circuit will be stopping off in the waters of Mallorca and Mahón for two decisive races before heading to St. Tropez.

Each boat on this circuit tells its own story, with designs and lines that evoke an era when sailing was an art. Our aim is to highlight the timeless elegance of these boats, showcasing every meticulously preserved detail and the craftsmanship that makes them true floating works of art.

In addition to the spectacular images of the regattas themselves, we also take a behind-the-scenes look at the passionate crews and owners who make this event possible. Their stories and dedication to preserving and sharing the tradition of classic boats add an extra layer of depth to our work.

Requirements

The races were held in the waters of the bay of Palma and Mahon waters which is mostly located within controlled airspace, so the appropriate permits had to be requested in advance, in addition to making the necessary coordination with the control tower and the airport infrastructure managers.

Once the use of an auxiliary boat with a good skipper at the helm facilitated the take-off and landing manoeuvres as well as the monitoring of the races according to the participating classes.
